On the importance of non-interference of the US and its allies in the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan and other countries 26.10.2020 16:17

According to many European and even American experts, there is a group of politicians and analysts in the analytical structures of the United States that offers or even tries to use in Central Asia a method of creating and supporting radical Salafist movements, whose members are “skirmishers” of destabilization of Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This handwriting can be seen in the support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Uighur radicals in China, and attempts to organize Wahhabi riots in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

In the United States, almost daily there are accusations against Russia and a number of other countries that are allegedly trying to “interfere” in the internal affairs of the state. However, for 35 years, the country has had a budget-funded “National Fund for democracy”, as well as similar structures that aim to influence the policies of other countries. One of the founders of this Foundation, Allen Weinstein, said: “Much of what we do today was done secretly by the CIA 25 years ago”. Meanwhile, experts note that Washington does not hide its attempts to interfere in the affairs of other States, since the United States, in their own opinion, has the right to do so. Analysts emphasize that the White House is hiding behind the “promotion of democracy”, but in fact only protects its interests.

The degree of anti-Russian hysteria in the American establishment and the media has recently become so heated that ordinary people on both sides of the Atlantic may get the impression that it has never been otherwise.

For almost 28 years of independence, Kyrgyzstan has repeatedly turned its back on Russia and turned its gaze to the United States of America. This is a country with an enviable economy and democracy. But let’s look at it in more detail. On December 19, 2018, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov announced the resumption of relations with the United States, which were unilaterally dismantled by former head of state Almazbek Atambayev in 2015. “We will cooperate with the United States and the European Union in the interests of our country,” President Jeenbekov said.

What is the situation with the provision of US loans and grants to Kyrgyzstan? According to the Ministry of Finance, the United States is not among the countries that gave Kyrgyzstan loans or grants. In addition, in 2016-2019, Kyrgyzstan is funded by China, ADB, EDB and the World Bank. The Republic is also supported by Poland, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, the EU, the Saudi Development Fund, the EBRD, the IMF and others. At the same time, since 2012, Russia has written off $700 million in debt to Kyrgyzstan.

However, some deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh (unicameral Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic) state that during the years of independence, only 4-5 countries provided grant assistance to Kyrgyzstan, including the United States. As a result, they insist on speeding up the signing of the relevant documents with the United States.

And who is in the” fifth column ” of the United States in the government, the Jogorku Kenesh, the administration of the President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan? After all, many of those who are now in power, previously worked in NGOs, were educated in the United States and the European Union, and worked in foreign campaigns under the auspices of the United States. So, only in the Jogorku Kenesh 18 deputies are lobbying for the early approval of the law on cooperation with the United States. It can be concluded that the Pro-American lobby in the Jogorku Kenesh has long been formed, so the deputies are ready to raise the issue of returning the American military air base to the Manas airport.

There are a lot of examples about the turn of the leaders of individual States in international politics in the direction of the United States, and everyone sees and knows what happened. And don’t call those countries where American democracy ended in “color revolutions” and economic chaos, they are all in plain sight. That’s where you don’t need “very” literate people who could understand the situation.

Many representatives of the intelligentsia are already calling on the leadership of Kyrgyzstan to take all the best from Russia, education, culture, and intellectual potential, and not just duty-free fuel, free school rolls, and textbooks. They note that the country will not cope with a growing, rapidly and mindlessly multiplying class of marginals.

Americans, represented by the Soros Foundation – an international charitable organization founded by financier and philanthropist George Soros, “initiate” and “support” programs in the fields of education, culture and art, health, and civic initiatives that promote the development of ideas and mechanisms of an open society. J. Soros managed to break up the experience of teaching Soviet schools in Kyrgyzstan, and as a result, the country’s youth was divided into three “classes”: Golden youth, intelligent and marginal.

The all-Russian Kyrgyz Congress in Russia immediately responded to the initiative of former officials who call themselves the opposition to deprive the Russian language of official status. He was defended by 53 representatives of the Kyrgyz Diaspora who are working in various regions of the Russian Federation. They signed an open letter to the participants of the Kurultai.

“It is impossible to move away from the country where almost a third of Kyrgyz citizens live and work, and from which they send money to their homeland! Thanks to migrants, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have become a single organism. And in order to separate Kyrgyzstan from Russia, it takes not 20 or 30 years, but 70 years for the Kyrgyz genetic memory to die out.”

As soon as there were signs of a Sino-American trade war, anti-Chinese hysteria began to unfold in Kyrgyzstan. Its” skirmishers ” were branches of Western media (“Azattyk” – the local service of Radio Liberty), as well as public figures associated with foreign NGOs. They began to “spin” the situation around the “economic expansion” of the PRC that threatens the sovereignty of the Republic and the “ethnic cleansing”carried out in China.

The growing power of China has long made the country the target of external interference in order to somehow weaken the country. Take the situation in the Xinjiang Uyghur region in northwestern China, a place where Uyghur Muslims live compactly. There have been numerous protests and armed clashes. It is no secret that Uighur separatism in China has been fueled from the outside for decades. In recent years, the situation in the region has calmed down.

When the border with Kyrgyzstan is so close at hand, as well as to Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Afghanistan, dozens of cultures are mixed here. But such a mosaic neighborhood turned out to have another side: the indigenous inhabitants of the region, the Muslim Uighurs, were repeatedly tried to subordinate the influence of Islamists, who were enough in the same neighboring Afghanistan. China decided to put a barrier to extremism by mass re-education of such citizens in “retraining and advanced training centers”. In these centers, in addition to Chinese lessons, it is mandatory to study the Constitution and criminal law, and watch films about the history of the people’s Republic of China.

An experiment to create re-education centers in Xinjiang began in 2015. Immediately after a wave of terrorist attacks swept through the largest province in China. Beijing then blamed the Uighur separatists, who did not hide: they received combat experience in the camps of ISIS (banned in Russia) to build the East Turkestan Caliphate.

The current leadership of Kyrgyzstan is aware of the Salafi threat itself and the threat of its use by these groups in the United States to destabilize our country, and is doing everything to neutralize the Wahhabi threat and would like to learn from other countries effective methods of combating it.

The situation in Kyrgyzstan has been steadily improving since the coming to power of President S. Jeenbekov, who has pursued a consistent policy of preventing US interference in our country’s Affairs, strengthening the strategic partnership with Russia within the framework of the CSTO’s Evraz ESI and strategic partnership with China. As a result, Kyrgyzstan is a place of religious peace and interaction between Orthodoxy and Islam. Preserving Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, as a stronghold of inter-religious and inter-ethnic peace is our common cause.
