A meeting of the Council of heads of state of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) will be held in a video conference format on November 10, TASS reports.

According to the press service of the organization, this meeting will be the Central event of Russia’s chairmanship in the SCO in 2019-2020.

During the meeting, the leaders will discuss issues of further strengthening and deepening cooperation within the SCO, including in the context of the global political and socio-economic consequences of the new coronavirus pandemic.

It will also focus on promoting practical cooperation between the SCO member States in the fields of politics, security, trade and economy, cultural and humanitarian ties, increasing efforts to deepen political dialogue, and improving the effectiveness of trade and economic cooperation.

The first SCO inter-Party forum is being held at the United Russia platform+

On October 22-23, 2020, the first inter-Party forum of the SCO+is being held at the United Russia platform. The main topic of the forum is “Economy for people”. Representatives of political parties from the countries of the Shanghai cooperation organization and other countries take part in its work.

An inter-party international expert group will be created in the course of the work. As the Chairman of United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, reported, It will work on a permanent basis, and its task is to “explore the most important challenges” facing not only the SCO, but the world as a whole.
