An international conference dedicated to Russian-Indian cooperation was held in Moscow. TV BRICS, as an information partner, sums up its results.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke at the opening and emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation.
“Today, Russia and India are developing equal cooperation based on sincere, mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests,” he said, noting India’s ability to pursue an independent multi-vector policy
According to him Moscow and New Delhi adhere to similar diplomatic principles based on taking into account the interests of all states. Lavrov expressed gratitude for the joint work in the UN, BRICS, SCO and the G20, and thanked India for its contribution to the preparation of the BRICS summit in Kazan.

Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar emphasized that the event contributes to global and bilateral development and brought together “a constellation of experts within the framework of one platform”.
He noted the positive changes in the economic relations between India and Russia over the past two to three years. According to him, trade turnover in 2025 may reach 65-66 billion US dollars (6.4-6.5 trillion rubles), and cooperation is reaching the level of long-term investments from both the state and the private sector
Kumar also noted the expansion of areas of cooperation. In addition to traditional areas such as energy and pharmaceuticals, projects in the Arctic, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence are actively developing.
“We are expecting the visit of the Russian President to India. This underlines the importance of our relations,” he added
Former Secretary of the National Security Council of India Arvind Gupta, answering a question from TV BRICS, noted the importance of unifying educational standards in BRICS
“Academic and student exchanges should take into account new aspects: uniform standards, the possibility of standardizing curricula, their mutual recognition, as well as new pedagogical methods”, he said
Head of the Indian Ocean Region Center at the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations Alexey Kupriyanov emphasized in an interview with TV BRICS that Russian business has been gradually reorienting itself toward the Indian market in recent years
“Many companies are beginning to realize the need for this and are organizing courses where businessmen gain basic knowledge about India”, he added.
