On January 12, the SCO Secretariat hosted a presentation by Thousand cities strategic algorithms (TSCA) on the topic “National Data Center: ensuring social and Economic stability”.

The purpose of the event was to get acquainted with the project of the company” National Data Center”, aimed at creating a platform for integrating data in the field of financial, credit and tax policy.

The presentation was attended by representatives of Chinese government agencies, business circles, as well as the diplomatic corps of the SCO family countries, ASEAN and LAS countries accredited in China.

SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov noted the acceleration of the digital transformation process in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to him, the SCO member states, having a huge potential in the development of digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies, pay great attention to the promotion of digitalization and artificial intelligence issues at national levels. Norov also stressed the importance of the proposals made by the Chinese side during the SCO summit in November 2020 in terms of strengthening cooperation in the field of high technologies and introducing technological achievements into production.

Strengthening digital connectivity can open up new prospects and opportunities for economic development by creating new growth points and increasing investment attractiveness in the SCO space, Norov said, adding that strengthening practical cooperation in this area is in the interests of improving the technological competitiveness and socio-economic well-being of the SCO member states.

Chairman of the TCSA Board Zhang Zhijun said that the company is the first professional structure in the world that helps cooperating countries to create National data centers in accordance with their national interests. This, according to him, can contribute to sustainable economic growth and increase the competitiveness of priority sectors of the economy.

The Chairman of the TCSA Board informed that the digital model of the macroeconomic system has been widely recognized by many experts from the World Bank, the IMF, Stanford University, and Columbia University.
